Peer Mentoring

The Why Not? Trust are looking for care experienced parents to join our supportive community! Whether you join us as a Mentor or Mentee, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

Peer Mentoring at the Why Not? Trust involves care experienced parents or parents to be being mentored by other parents with care experience or knowledge of care. The aim is for parents to support each other and build a trusting relationship. Mentors will engage with, encourage, and empower Mentees, drawing from their own life experiences. 

 

 

 

  • Joining is voluntary - both Mentors
    and Mentees choose to get involved

 

  • You can meet virtually or in person -
    whatever is right for you!

 

  • We never ask for ‘proof’ of your
    care experience

 

  • Mentor Training is provided
