Parent and Child: Scottish Child Payment
(Read time: 1 minute)
Have you got a child who is under 16? You could receive a weekly payment of £25 for every child you have under this age. This could make a massive difference in helping you out, from buying food, and clothes for your kids or even for days out to the soft play, cinema and whatever else you like getting up to!
To be able to get this you and your child must live in Scotland, you or your partner are getting certain benefits or tax credits and you or your partner is the main person looking after the child.
If you received the Scottish Child Payment and your child meets the age conditions Social Security Scotland will automatically check if you are eligible for Best Start Grant – Early Learning Payment and Best Start – School Age Payment.
