Danya, Marketing and Communications Lead

Hi there! I’m Danya, and I call Glasgow home, where I share my space with my two lively and lovable cats, Freyja and Odin.

My journey began during my time at Edinburgh Napier University, where I dove headfirst into the world of music and radio. Collaborating with the BBC and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, I kickstarted my career with a passion for promoting comedy and music. From there, I ventured into roles such as Press Manager for Underbelly and Digital Marketing Officer for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

With a solid background in event marketing and planning, I found myself drawn to the third sector. Over the past eight years, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting mental health initiatives and young people with care experience. After freelancing for several third sector organisations, I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter, where I’ll be offering my full-time support to parents and students with lived experience as part of the Why Not? Trust.
